I am not sure If I would ever want to be a famous blogger…I don’t think I have what it takes to write posts that are on that level. However what would it be like to have some fame because of your blog. My concern is that I enjoy the report with my fellow bloggers and the bigger you get the harder it becomes. I suppose you can’t have friendships with everyone and you need to have a core group of bloggers you have community with. On Tumblr I had 1500 followers at one point and I don’t know if that is ideal. Perhaps the old saying the more the merrier has some merit. Is what I have to say all that important in the scheme of things. Perhaps I should just go for it and not worry so much. Just a few things to ponder as I gain more followers.

A refreshingly honest view. Thank you. I think to have a small core of blog friends is probably the answer. Like you said, have a community. I look at some blogs with huge numbers of hits and vast numbers of followers. I don’t think they are proper blogs anymore. Maybe they are super-blogs!

We can’t control who follows us, but we can definitely follow the ones we like. If the ones who follow us are really readers, they will never go away…the others will!
And, finally, you will be left with a small number, unless you become a celebrity!

I have never worried about the number of followers I have. I simply blog about my passion for music and share my photographs. Some people drop in fairly regularly to leave a comment or a like, others not so much.
I also follow blogs I like and must admit that sometimes it becomes a little difficult to keep up with it all. I would like more engagement on my blog as I think it is more important to know you have actually connected with someone rather than just hitting followers and visits

I agree. Being a follower does come with a small degree of responsibility. I am finding some good friends in my small community.

I agree here, but at the same time am really enjoying the growth of my reach. I’m finding my voice and loving every new interaction with the readers.

I started off following everyone who followed me, and ended up driving myself insane, as I couldn’t read everything and keep up with comments, alongside the real reason I started to blog, and that was to actually write… Then I went through and became selective with who I followed. Those that interacted with me, and I had an interest in following, I did, and doing so, I have developed some amazing friendships to! I am so humbled that there are so many following me, and I feel if they are really reading, and interacting with me, I will always answer them, and if a relationship develops, then the following, from me, will also happen too.

I want to get fame 😮 That way I might get more criticism on becoming better, more reach to people who might care to read what I have to say and also I want to make some passive income from blogging too! Not now, but in the future 😮

My main priority was to start writing again after a five year break. I was helping a friend out with his blog and decided to start my own. I’m glad I did my own blog because I’ve met some great people and friends worldwide in only five months! I’ve also learned a lot of new things. I see blogging as practicing on my writing. I’m not sure where my blog is headed but it’s nice to have regular readers, friends and new comers comment and like my posts. I’m thinking of getting off Facebook and only keeping WordPress.

I follow twice as many sights that follow me. I am fairly new. I folow them because I am interested in what they have to say. I may not read and like every post they put out there, depends o their topic of the day. Same as my followers I would think. If you read the title and a few lines and like it, you click to read the rest, if not tou just pass it by. People with larger followings have worked hard to get where they are. They are either professional bloggers or very popular because of content. It is all good.

Sometimes it’s best to write for one audience…yourself…this is what I try to do…if you write something & like it…there’ll be someone else who will…so long as you like what you write…you’re doing great…
