Sonic Saturday – Prince, Tom Petty, Steve Winwood, Jeff Lynne and Others: While My Guitar Gently Weeps

In all we are experiencing these days this song sounds fitting as an expression of grief. In this video the late Tom Petty is doing vocals in this all-star band. Then the late Prince comes on and just rocks one of the best guitar riffs ever.

So many people are weeping and its only appropriate that guitars do the same. People need to be loved even in sad times. It’s important we do love because its needed so much now.

  1. Prince definitely gives it the Hendrix treatment and both of these incredble guitarists (Prince and Hendrix) certainly know how to make their guitars weep and cry respectively.
