As a believer, I am in favor of LGBTQ marriage. Pope Francis is taking a step of faith and courage to call for civil unions. This is a step in a positive direction where people who love one another can create a loving, caring union that benefits the world.
Love is indeed love!

I agree Tony and I think Pope Francis is a brave man as I suspect there are many in the Church who will be outraged by this. But I am cheering.

There is some push back now especially from some Cardinals and Bishops in Africa and Poland where LGBTQ folks are looked at very poorly and with venom.

This does not surprise me. But I am so glad the Pope has taken this opportunity to speak out and say what he believes.

I always go “yay” and then he does something else and I’m like “nay”, but he does seem more progressive than normal.
