Appreciation For Service to St. Peter’s

I have served on the vestry of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church for the past three years. The Vestry is the lay leadership team in the Episcopal Church. My service came at a time of personal loss and the Covid 19 pandemic. During that time, I was a part of a group of great people who served to keep things going and we did an excellent job.

For my service, I was gifted this chalice at our annual churchwide meeting. It’s nice to be recognized for doing things that help others, but I didn’t do it for that reason. Service is about so much more, it’s about being there when you get the call to help.

  1. Jesus did say one is happier when giving than when receiving, right? I believe it includes service to our fellow human in any way we can offer it. Well done!
