Today in Uvalde, Texas, United States of America, there was a mass shooting in an elementary school where 14 students and 1 teacher were killed.
This should make anyone sick. But alas it seems to be par for the course.
Enough thoughts and prayers. We are well past that disingenuous crap. It’s also past time for real action on gun violence. Stop using the 2nd Amendment as a shield or a crutch. Stop valuing guns above people.
It’s time to turn weapons into plowshares. We have had enough violence for many lifetimes. America is a dangerous place to be these days.
How do you stop it when some feel the answer is more guns and less regulation? Is there an answer? Seems not

It’s really a sad commentary on American lawmaker who don’t have the guts to stand up to the NRA and an outdated amendment.

My dad used to say, ‘guns are NOT bad. It’s the person that wields it. A gun doesn’t magically grow legs and walk into a school and shoots.”

He believed that if people tried harder to keep guns away from kids and teens then there would be less gun violence in school. And only certain people should legally have a gun

I had read that the guy who did this was upset that he didn’t graduate. I don’t understand that. If he had lived he would have spent a lot of time in prison which would be a failure too. There is a thing called GED. My mother didn’t graduate high school and she got her GED and then went to a community college.

My mother told me he shot and killed multiple 3rd and 4th graders. It was the first time I saw my dad cry since my brother was born 13 years ago
