I feel as if my blogging is getting stale. Lately I haven’t been posting as much for reasons I am trying to figure out. Sometimes it feels like my depression is getting in the way. My motto is “keep on blogging” but sometimes I think I am in need of a re-fresh. I don’t find myself being very creative at the moment. Do you go through this sort of thing? Your comments are welcome.

All. The. Time.
It’s normal. At least that’s what I’ve decided to accept it as — normal. We can’t be “on” all the time. And that includes writing, blogging, etc. I think a refresh is a nice way to think about it. Take a little break, whatever that means to you — and love that you have given yourself that gift! It’s a like a little spa treatment for the brain and heart. And then, when you’re ready come back. But I love that thought process — needing a little refresh!

I think each and every blogger goes through this at times – take breaks as needed and come back refreshed

My ‘about’ information used to include an aim of blogging weekly.
I erased it so that I was not setting myself up for failure. I often have breaks between posts.
Over the years, I have thought a few times about discontinuing the blog as I question it’s worth in the public domain. In writing this comment, I realise I enjoy writing and generally post for me. Someone liking my posts is an added bonus.
I enjoy reading your posts!

Absolutely. I’m kinda experiencing that right now, which I hope my upcoming road trip will help. Sometimes getting out of the house, maybe a change of scenery will help. I hope you get your mojo back.

Yes I try new segments to keep things fresh and sometimes they work and other times they don’t. I try to mix up topics too. I always like your posts, Tony.

I recently refreshed my blog. I deleted all the old content and scheduled for repost only those items that were meaningful to me. I feel much better about blogging now!

I was in a writing funk for quite a while. Not posting with any consistency. The last 14 days as WordPress keeps cheering me I have posted daily. Everyone goes through it. Don’t fret or overthink it otherwise it will keep bothering you. Have a great Sunday Tony.

I have been in your place many times. I cope by writing through it. Sometimes I write things I’m not happy with but eventually it comes right. Don’t give in to the harsh inner critic, don’t give up. That’s the secret really, not talent or great ideas or creativity – just persistence. The rest seems to follow.:-)

Hello Tony from I am My Path. Why don’t you try and do something else that “You really feel like doing” That is “The Best thing to get us moving forward” Yes it does happen to many and, “Need Not be depression it self, but feeling a little dim”!
It can be to Draw, Paint, Gardening or to get back in to one o your old hobbies or some “Small thing that You always have wanted to do” Can be a hobby or just “Watch The sky how it changes during certain times. One day I was looking up at “Clouds moving by and “Ended up with a Little Poem”!
Since then I started my Personal website, “Writing little poems of my own and other little little things I was doing when I was young” You never know “what gifts or Talents, Hiding and saying Peek a Boo ~ Catch me if you can 🙂

I know that feeling. I used to feel bad about it, but I came to accept that it happens.

Just go with the flow, I think there is a lot of pressure to blog regularly otherwise your not doing it right apparently – I disagree (unless it’s part of some sort of business strategy). Sometimes less is more – quality over quantity. Life isn’t robotic and rigid – so blogging doesn’t have to be either!! 😊
