The Flip Phone, I Miss Them…Sometimes

I had a couple flip phones early in my cell phone life. The Motorola Razr was one of the best. In the world of Android and iPhones the simplicity of those devices is something I have fond memories for. Would I trade my Samsung 5s for the Razr today, nope. The world has changed but you know it’s good to have happy memories of flipping your phone to be cool…well I did that, not sure about others. Did you have a flip phone? What was your favorite?

  1. We still use a flip-phone. From Verizon; it says Samsung on it. We talk on it. No texts, no pictures, no email or web browsing. It fits neatly in any pocket. The screen does not get scratch up. We use tablets and cameras for all that other stuff.

  2. I still use a flip-phone, which makes texting a pain and it’s the only function I can use since answering a call would cause me $2. It’s a pre-paid phone, you see. At the same time, I’m glad because working at a cellphone repair shop made me see how vulnerable smart phones are and how much people would pay just to have it fixed.

  3. Haha! I do missed using a flip phone too but I’ll stick to my iPhone any time of the day. Gone are the days you stuck outside, waiting for your friend who is an hour late and the only thing you can do is to twiddle your thumbs or play snake on your Razer phone.

  4. I had one when I was in college. Lol. I think it was a Nokia, I don’t remember. It was one of the first cell phones I had. This was when texting was barely starting. Now I have a Samsung S4! I’m planning on getting another one soon.
