To all my Canadian friends, I encourage you to go to the polls. You have a great country and your voice matters. Voting is important in all countries that exercise the right. The future is in your hands.
Now is the time of year when you have to run your heat at night and your AC during the day. Fall can be a challenging season here in the south to keep comfy. Last night was the first night our heater came on and there was that familiar smell of dust being burned off the coils. The heat is on during the evening and during the day.
Why are there fireworks going off in my neighborhood? Is there an obscure holiday that requires them I don’t know about? My dog isn’t happy.

There are some great scenic views of my hometown from the parking area of historic Ruby Falls on Lookout Mountain. Its perspectives like this that make me grateful to live in this great place.
