My experience with WordPress.com upgrades is for the most part positive. And if one has chosen to invest in their own domain, a premium upgrade for $99 is an option to consider. Because I use premium templates I need the CSS option. And no ads was a must for me. Regarding space, the free felt sufficient, but an upgrade allows audio and video streaming. As of now your sites looks fine and functional. Like most things, goals will drive options. Good luck.

I liked the site so I bought what they were selling. So far it all seems to work well most of the time.
