I have never understood the point of these shows. Why do really good looking people need help in funding a mate? Most of these people are well off and have great social connections. They should have little trouble in this area. Some of these people are cray cray though. I’m just saying. Roses aren’t needed.

I refuse to watch these programs, but I am a sucker for ‘Beauty and the Geek,” when it’s on I just can’t turn it off.

I watched the bachelorette one time and thought it was the most superficial, shallow and stupid show I had ever seen. Now a great show is Bridezilla (just kidding) – makes me wonder why anyone would marry these women. TV has become so pointless.

I agree that this is an odd phenomenon. My guess is that it has more to do with a few minutes of fame than actually finding a mate.
