Be a Hero

My friend Rebecca said that heroes come in more than one form. She is a smart person. Being a hero doesn’t always mean carrying a gun sometimes it means doing something more. Many times it means stepping up to do something in your community to save lives like blood donation or helping the homeless. Many times it means standing up to a bully on behalf of the weak. I am glad I can be a hero in a peaceful way.

  1. Something I’ve been challenged with myself as well. My son is my hero. He is brave, kind and smart, he shares of himself and is just so generous to everyone. I posted “What is a hero” after a very good friend said I was his hero. Heroes are everyday people who live in a way someone could admire them.

We are all heroes to someone I guess so if we choose to be a positive hero or a negative one our choices certainly can affect others.

  2. I believe the silent heroes, the people that walk through life performing kind acts, the altruistic heroes, the people that do the right thing not because of some reward or hopes of recognition – those are the most admirable. Of course, most of the time we will never know who they are because they don’t announce themselves.
