I have concluded after being on WordPress for some time now that for a grown up (or a grown up at heart) its a much better place to be than Tumblr. I feel I can write here and be more respected with less judgement. If someone disagrees with you there is a level of civility and respect by-in-large. The bloggers here are committed to creating original works and are willing to share about themselves and their lives which is supportive and affirming. I also think the tools and technology offered here make your blog a feature rich site where you can bring all your work from other places here.
Don’t get me wrong I appreciate deeply my friends from Tumblr, they are great people. The atmosphere there can be a bit challenging sometimes. I just find myself in a much better space to create and to be inspired by others who are doing the same here at WordPress.
Good to know!

That’s true. WordPress is more… professional, although a lot of us are not professional writers or photographers or whatever, but it certainly helps give your blog that professional feel. And the people here are definitely more mature and commited. I have a Tumblr blog too, but tumblr is where most teenage bloggers go, which is why you might’ve enjoyed it less. I don’t blog in the same way over there. In fact, I don’t write anything personal at all. I basically just reblog the things I like or relate to.
Keep up the great work over here, and have a nice day. 🙂

I was sorry to lose track of you on tumblr, Tony. Still, I can’t say I blame you; it can get seriously toxic sometimes. At least we have wordpress!

I am growing to like it here much better. Not anything wrong with the folks there but there seems to be a more mature atmosphere here. It’s good to reconnect.

I don’t even go on Tumblr, my blog gets posted there automatically. I’ve never checked for comments or anything… hmmm.
