Martin Luther King, Jr. Day is a federal holiday held on the third Monday of January. It celebrates the life and achievements of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. who was a civil rights leader who worked to bring justice and peace to everyone in our nation.
In days like these we must reflect on the lessons Dr. King taught us. His calling from God was to help make all people equal as they are in the eyes of their creator. Our lives are different because of him but we still have much work to be done in changing the hearts and minds to give everyone a chance.
Dr. King taught us by example to fight the good fight of equality for all people. He did all of this by non-violent means. It’s amazing what can be done without raising weapons of violence but waging peace by changing the hearts and minds of people. Happy Birthday, Dr. King!
I love that question.

Good post, hope you don’t mind I made a similar one using this same picture. I wish people would remember the things he stood for.
