I was in grade 2 when they changed the flag from the Union Jack to our very own Maple Leaf. We all went outside for a little ceremony as the old flag was taken down and the new one put up. It was very fun at the time and looking back as an adult it was a great honour to be part of it.

I can most of the time manage that – it is getting them folded before they are needed again that seems to escape me!
