It’s important I think to be kind to the staff of a hotel or motel in which you are staying. Those folks work hard to make your stay the best it can be. Some of those folks work strange hours for not a lot of pay. Even when a staff person isn’t polite to you it can change their day to show them kindness, it might help them get through their shift. This past week I made a point to ask the staff I encountered how they were doing and I hope it helped them keep going and know that someone cared a little.

It doesn’t cost anything to say Thank You. Hubby and I do our best to cheer up someone’s day, especially in the supermarkets as we have witnessed people going through the checkouts before us not saying a single word during the process of ringing up their purchases.
