Twenty years today this movie was released and it became one of the best weather disaster movies of the era. It still has relevance today. Academy Award winner Helen Hunt and Bill Paxton are excellent in this movie about a estranged couple who go out and to chase the big tornado. The late Philip Seymour Hoffman plays a great supporting role.
This is one of my favorite movies because of the action, the story, the effects and the actors.
One of my favorite movies! There is a tornado simulation “ride” at Universal Orlando inspired by the film. Really cool!

There was one at Universal Orlando, it closed back in September to make way for a new attraction focused on late night host Jimmy Fallon.

I’ve only experienced the Twister ride once and I loved it. I thought it was really cool and unique, I’m sad it won’t be there anymore. But like the guy said in the video, I’m excited for the new ride!

It’s from a Dutch director, no? I can’t say I was very impressed by this film, not even after watching it again last year. Although I agree Helen was great!

I actually grew up in Oklahoma, where this movie was filmed, and trust me, tornados are truly scary and this film gives them justice!
