A kiss is just a kiss….the opening to the theme song of As Time Goes By which is a classic British Comedy starring Judi Dench and Geoffrey Palmer. It ran for 10 series between 1992 and 2002. It aired originally on BBC and in America on PBS stations around the country. It’s a family favorite for a lot of reasons, mostly the romantic comedy between two people who are older who reconnect after 30 plus years. Every now and then we watch it when we need a laugh and to be reminded of what the power of love can do.

My mother passed away in 1992 and I remember seeing an episode of the show shortly after on PBS. She loved British comedies (her father was from Leeds and her mother from Cork, Ireland…a potentially lethal combo!) and I know that this one would have been a favourite of hers. I have seen a few episodes over the years and loved it – two fine actors. Thanks for the reminder.
