Vice is defined as a moral depravity or corruption. It’s a flaw or weakness. Some people have their vices they struggle with and some things they embrace. A vice is also a  thing that holds something in place using a heavy clamp as seen above. Then there is having your head in that same vice which always hurts, figuratively speaking. You don’t want to be busted by the vice squad of a police department. Being a Vice President is a pretty cool job. So as you see the word vice has many meanings. I think people who are left to their own devices can get into trouble or do amazing things.
