We are in a political season here in the USA and the rhetoric and war of words is reaching a fever pitch it seems. People who feel passionate about one thing or another will advance their arguments by picking fights with those who believe and feel differently from them. In all disclosure I do comment on posts from people who I disagree with but I don’t think I have ever posted anything on an individuals Facebook to pick a fight with anyone. People mix their politics and religion into a cocktail of confrontation where they feel like they have to advance their cause even when it means fracturing friendships.
I live in a very homogeneous part of the world where most folks are of one political, religious and socioeconomic class. If you aren’t of that type then usually you are looked at strangely. Free thought and independence is not always in abundance in the American South. Granted its better than it used to be but there is a long way to go for those who are on the outside of that archetype.
All I was doing today was doing my days work and someone goes and ruins it with a Facebook post on my timeline. I hope to have a better day ahead. Let’s see how it goes.
Sorry Tony. I think what is really heating things up so much is that both candidates are extremely unpopular. For me it’s going to be about voting for the lesser of two evils (Hilary) and keeping my fingers crossed that she’s learned from her mistakes and doesn’t let us down.

I’m just going to stay in bed and cover up my head. You should do the same. Ignore the ignorant ❤

It happens so frequently in my country, picking a political fight online 😦 I hate it so much…after all, as By Hook or By Book has said here, we always have to choose between the devil and the deep blue sea…
