There are occasions when one writes a post for the sake of expressing how they feel on a given subject and they don’t want to have to argue with someone who feels the opposite. Commentary is welcome but not every opinion should have to be met with disagreements. All I wanna do is get something off my chest, nothing more. Am I making sense here. Expression is a valuable thing to have.
Does that happen to you often. I hope not if it bothers you. On my blog I look forward to dissent and to others views. It lets me see if my views stand up, and if I can refute thiers. Hugs

I don’t mind a little disagreement on some things but there are things I stand firm on and I don’t particularly care about the opposite side as not to argue.

If you stand firm on them, do you not like to show your reason why? I am not saying you need change your view, I am asking because we seem different on our approach to this . Hugs

I feel similar about certain things. Sometimes I just want to say what I am thinking and not have a big debate over it. Particularly when it comes to something that I have already looked at, in depth, from every direction, and I still remain firm in my conviction.
Then there are the things about which I can see both sides, or in some cases, I can see the truth in more than one side, when there are several ways of looking at the issue. When that happens, rather than give myself whiplash trying to figure out which side is correct, I simply say “I don’t know!” Or: “the preponderance of the evidence seems to me to point in this direction.”
When it’s your own blog, I believe you have the right to post what you want to post, and not leave it open for debate if you don’t want to. And those who disagree with you can say so on their own blogs, if they feel they must. ☺

The way I feel about it, is that it is YOUR blog and you should write whatever you want, whenever you want. If someone doesn’t like it they don’t have to read. I think the WP community is 99% compassionate. Do your thing, Tony! 🤗
