Hello Tony. A long time ago I use to give blood as often as possible. Then I joined a monogamous 30 year same sex relationship. Suddenly my blood was no longer any good. Heterosexuals can screw as much as they want to anyone they want as many times as they want, but my 30 year relationship disqualifies me from giving. Recently they said if I only give up sex for three months I can donate. They can go … themselves. When they put that same restriction on everyone then maybe it will seems as stupid as it is now to gay people. Sorry I know this is your job, but it pisses me off the country is denying a lot of blood donations due to unwarranted bigotry. Hugs

Hey Tony!
Great post. As a healthcare worker in an ICU in Oregon, I know how valuable blood products can be. 🙂

My husband regularly gives blood–he was still able to do it a couple of weeks ago, despite the pandemic, just more precautions taken.
