My kids grew up in the early seventies — I grew up in immediate post-WWII Britain. Having grown up with almost no manufactured toys, I was entranced by Fisher Price products. Every evening after the kids were in bed and asleep, I’d sit on the floor and rearrange the toy box and count all the pieces to make sure none were missing!
My mother-in-law kept all the Little People toys that my husband and his siblings played with when they were young. My girls played with them when they were little.

Handmade toys are great. I had one or two I think. Mostly mass-produced toys is what I had.

Is it weird for me to confess that, at 38, I LOVE those old toys?

No, it’s not. It means you have a sentimental heart which is awesome.
