When You Can’t Think Of A Word

Dystopian… for the life of me I was trying to think of that word today as it relates to apocalyptic imagery. It was inspired by the song “It’s The End Of The World” by REM. Granted dystopian and apocalyptic don’t always have to go together but they do seem like good friends. Dystopian or dystopia are words that are not in everyday conversation, at least in my corner of the world and I am extremely glad for it if you know what I mean.

It’s frustrating when you know a word and it won’t seem to make it to your mouth. I suppose I had other things to be worried about and the word dystopia wasn’t all that important at the time.

Happy Hanukkah

Hanukkah, also known as the Festival of Lights, is a Jewish festival commemorating the recovery of Jerusalem and subsequent rededication of the Second Temple at the beginning of the Maccabean revolt against the Seleucid Empire in the 2nd century BCE.

To all my friends who are celebrating may this be a time of light and love and family. Grace and peace.
