I bought a dozen eggs today. I’m a big spender. Eggs are expensive these days even from Aldi.

  2. I’ve been finding substitutes for the things. Except for some meals where you must have eggs. I read on NPR why eggs are more spendy than chickens. Fascinating, but realistic. Eggs come from mature hens. Remember Chicken Run? It is a girl thing. Cooking chickens are generally of either sex and young. So, if a virus takes out an egg flock, it takes a while for them to get built back up. Younger chickens taken down by a virus just take farmers a month or two til they are back in business.
