Throwback Thursday #TBT Pam Tillis – Cleopatra, Queen Of Denial

Here’s a song by country music artist Pam Tillis that goes with my earlier Daily Prompt post on denial. This song was released in 1993.

Daily Prompt: Denial

There is a saying that Cleopatra is the Queen of Denial (a take off of The Nile River) and most people are in denial about something in their lives. We don’t want to admit anything is wrong or something is not going to happen that will impact our lives. Denial isn’t a healthy thing because we don’t want to recognize that there are things in our lives that are not as they seem and should be. People get into a cycle of denial where they are living in a state of belief that nothing is wrong. Reality can kill denial and force us all to admit there is something that we need to take care of lest it harms us mentally, emotionally or spiritually.

Pro Tip 34593: Weather Edition

A great time to send a selfie is when a tornado sweeps your butt up into its funnel cloud. Remember to select the right filter and the pithy caption to tell your story. What would Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz do in that situation.

Wednesday, April 5, 2017

Hello friends, it’s been an interesting Wednesday, I hope yours has been good. This week has gone by slowly it seems. Monday felt like it should have been Monday and Tuesday rolled into one. My goodness I am so ready for Friday. Fortunately its only two sleeps away.

We have an evening of threatening weather here over the next few hours. Earlier today the weather got a little tedious but we made it through. It’s amazing how the weather impacts everything that people do. Tornadoes have been mentioned for some communities in the area I live in, let’s hope it doesn’t come to that.

Over the past few weeks I have been trying to do my best at work despite recent professional setbacks. Ones character and integrity is revealed in situations like that. I am not going to sit here and say all is well because it won’t be for a while. Normally I shrug things off but sometimes you have to allow yourself to feel and emote.

Let’s see how the next couple of days unfold. I hope it will be positive for everyone. Grace and peace and love everyone.

It’s Only Tuesday?

Monday was so long it feels like today should be Wednesday. This is going to be a long week it seems.

You Know I’m A Dorky Nerd Right?

It always amazes me when people who follow me who are in every way cooler than I am. They are going to figure out how much of a total nerd I am. Would we have coffee in the “real” world? Do we have more things in common other than blogging? I’m humbled and grateful but still my low self esteem kicks in and it makes me wonder why? Thanks for following nonetheless.😀
