Encouraging Thunder!

My fellow blogger Ritu (https://butismileanyway.wordpress.com) and Tessa (https://tessacandoit.wordpress.com/) have graciously given me this award and I am grateful for it! Getting these awards is a great way to connect with others and to build community. I have awards from other bloggers so I hope to take care of them sometime soon.

My purpose in blogging is…

My blog is where I chronicle and curate the sacred, serious and silly things in my life. This is my online voice where I share what is in my head and on my heart with people far and wide. I also want to connect with others who enjoy blogging and to discover something about myself and the world around me. My blogging experience has taken me through several different versions of my blog on different platforms. This is something I love to do because it give me a creative outlet where I can express myself in a geeky sort of way.

I am giving this award to…Enjoy friends!

A Different Sunday Morning

This morning my wife and I began our church search. We worshiped at The Red Bank Chapel of The Chattanooga Mission with some great Anglican Christians. We saw a baptism and celebrated holy communion. We worshiped in a place that doubles as a coffee house Monday-Saturday. It was a different type of space and place than we are used to but doing something different is a good thing.

Later we went to brunch where we had a great meal at a restaurant on the North Shore area of Chattanooga. I had chicken and waffles which was pretty good. This is a dish I need to try at home. From there we went to get groceries and I am glad we didn’t go hungry or else we would have spent much more than we did.

We are enjoying this day of rest and relaxation. The sun is out but I like the air conditioning too much. Sundays are made for days like this and I am glad to be resetting myself for the week ahead.

I’m not the best storyteller

I have come to realize I am not the best storyteller out there. Sure I have had my share of experiences in life but none of them seem to be exciting. Really I have lived a life that hasn’t been one of legend but maybe it’s the everyday tales that are worth sharing. Maybe bearing witness to the things I encounter would be a good thing…something to work on.
