Hi there, my name is Tony Burgess (my friends call me T-Bird) from Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA. I am a believer, bleeding heart, idealist, and blogger. I'm married to Laura the Soup Diva and a dog dad to Frankie, Cody, and Mikey. Daily I work for a blood bank recruiting donors. My blog is where I chronicle and curate the sacred, serious, and silly things in my life. I am a member of The Episcopal Church. Thank you for connecting with me. Grace, peace, and love!

Sweaty after Zumba tonight. We were off last week so we worked a little harder tonight. It feels good though. Tonight was our first night in our new Zumba place too.

A Ramble About Local Pastors

I was reminded this weekend of the significant role of a local pastor and the need for the local church. To me I will always find more credibility of the words and actions of a pastor/priest who is on the front lines in community dealing with the hurts and struggles day-to-day of people who are their neighbors and friends. You cannot get that same level of attention from some person you see on TV. I will always be more inspired by people who will be there for you through the good and bad times who happen to proclaim the love, grace and peace of God.

On Twitter

When people who don’t follow this blog or Facebook follow me on Twitter I scratch my head a little. I am a really boring person. Now I am a welcoming person but just saying.
