Blogging The Ages

I am a 45 year old dork and to have younger followers is kind of cool. Not sure what they see in me, I am not the hippest person ever but you know I appreciate it. You know I think its good for the young to connect with older folks because we can learn from one another. Of course there are people blogging older than me so its all relative.

It’s Going To Be A Monday

Friends, today is going to be a true Monday. There seems to be a lot on my plate already today. I am so ready to restart the day or perhaps ready for it to be done. Lets see how things go.

The Golden Girls….iconic, classic television. Timeless laughs from the 1990s. #hallmarkchannel via Instagram http://ift.tt/1T65B3j

It was 10pm and the city was quiet. A little too quiet. via Instagram http://ift.tt/1Iokp7q

Truth Bites

If a restaurant says they are adding more real this or that it makes you wonder what were they serving you all this time. When you take a bite of something is it really good for you?

Martina McBride @ Riverbend Festival 2015

Country music star Martina McBride performed last night at our cities Riverbend Festival. She is one of my favorite vocalists in the genre and her show last night was great. I couldn’t get any good pictures from last night because I was too far away from the stage and I was watching her primarily on a video screen which too was a bit far away.

So I am posting a video from early in her career. “Independence Day” is a song about a woman being free from an abusive situation in her life. There is little to do with patriotism here, its about survival.

The video was shot in Murfreesboro, TN in 1993 when I was a student at Middle Tennessee State University. It was kind of neat to see familiar places in on the square area of the ‘Boro.
