Hi there, my name is Tony Burgess (my friends call me T-Bird) from Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA. I am a believer, bleeding heart, idealist, and blogger. I'm married to Laura the Soup Diva and a dog dad to Frankie, Cody, and Mikey. Daily I work for a blood bank recruiting donors. My blog is where I chronicle and curate the sacred, serious, and silly things in my life. I am a member of The Episcopal Church. Thank you for connecting with me. Grace, peace, and love!

Days End

The sun has set and the night has come

Our days end is what we have been looking for

Never ending work means the job is never complete

Yet you get to come home and hopefully rest your feet

My friends drink a toast to the most you have given

You get to do it again tomorrow when the sun has risen

Cinco de Mayo fajitas. Made in an oven. Loads of flavor. #cincodemayo

Be The Dork You Are Meant To Be

The sooner you admit you are a dork the better off your life will be. Really people who are authentic will be comfortable in their skin and won’t be something they aren’t. It is tough to be yourself because some folks pay the price for it, which to me is totally unfair. So in life, be the dork you are meant to be.

Cinco de Mayo

Cinco de Mayo—or the fifth of May—commemorates the Mexican army’s 1862 victory over France at the Battle of Puebla during the Franco-Mexican War (1861-1867)…(from History.com)

To all celebrating today from every culture may it be happy, healthy and safe.
