Hi there, my name is Tony Burgess (my friends call me T-Bird) from Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA. I am a believer, bleeding heart, idealist, and blogger. I'm married to Laura the Soup Diva and a dog dad to Frankie, Cody, and Mikey. Daily I work for a blood bank recruiting donors. My blog is where I chronicle and curate the sacred, serious, and silly things in my life. I am a member of The Episcopal Church. Thank you for connecting with me. Grace, peace, and love!

Enjoy Your Day

A little commentary on this turkey day in the USA. I hate self-checkout at Walmart.

Happy Thanksgiving To You All

It’s Thanksgiving Day here in America. It’s a day of feasting and reflection on what one is thankful for. I am thankful for the things that make this life quirky, unique, and special. May this day be one of being together with family and friends. I hope for peace and reconciliation in all communities around the world in this holiday season ahead. Much love and grace to you all.

Holiday Eating Tips From The Soup Diva

Some great holiday eating tips from my honey The Soup Diva. Lots of good information for the season.

A Dreary Tuesday, But It’s All Good

It’s a dreary day today but that’s OK. We have needed the rain for a while now. I’m glad it’s doing this before Thanksgiving. It’s definitely a day to be cozy but I’m at work so being cozy isn’t an option for me.

Thought Of The Day 11202023

I am an eternal idealist. I am also getting older so you would think those two things would be battling it out in my heart and soul. Reality is important but sometimes it gives birth to cynicism and darkness. I still think it’s healthy to dream.

One thing that gets me is when there are serious things on Facebook and there happens to be some smiley face that diminishes the importance of it all. I hope I never get to the point where my moody self stops having sympathy, empathy, and the desire to understand.

I hope I can still have that sense of wonder.
