Something funny and true to lighten the mood of the days we are in.
Yes friends, it’s another Monday. We all know the troubles of the world but lets not loose sight of the tasks at hand that each of us has to do. Have the best day possible good people. Be awesome today if you can. Grace, peace and love to you all.
Hello good people. How are you faring today/tonight? I am hanging in there as most other people.
Joe Diffie was one of those country music artist who was one hell of a storyteller. I first appreciated country music in the 1990’s when I was in college and Diffie was one of those guys that was big on the scene at the time. I really liked how he was able to sing songs that were funny, relatable and that could speak to ones soul.
He passed away on March 29th due to complications from Coronavirus. He will be missed but he will always be a part of the great history of the genre. This song is kind of ironic and I imagine he would want to be propped up beside a jukebox.
Every human community will disappoint us, regardless of how well-intentioned or inclusive.
Rev. Nadia Bolz-Weber
We cannot return to normal because what was normal has failed us. A health care system built on profit and balance sheet instead of the care of human beings. So many people are dying not just of Coronavirus in a place where many profess to cherish life. Health is a human right given to us from a creator who loves each one of us. Holding on the notion that you can be cured if you have the financial resources is morally wrong in every way. Instead of thinking about excuses as to why we can’t have a new way forward to care for the children of God come up solutions as to making it happen. My friends I don’t want to go back to what we had because its killing people. I value people and life and love above anything else and you should too.
