Hi there, my name is Tony Burgess (my friends call me T-Bird) from Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA. I am a believer, bleeding heart, idealist, and blogger. I'm married to Laura the Soup Diva and a dog dad to Frankie, Cody, and Mikey. Daily I work for a blood bank recruiting donors. My blog is where I chronicle and curate the sacred, serious, and silly things in my life. I am a member of The Episcopal Church. Thank you for connecting with me. Grace, peace, and love!

Yeah, wasn’t it Friday like 9 minutes ago or something like that. I hope all of you have had a great weekend. Actually, I could use another weekend at the end of this weekend.

Food For Thought

What if this loaf of bread was all you had to eat today. For some this is a reality and for some it’s a luxury.

Thought Of The Day

I have been posting stuff online for years. I have also been reading stuff online for the same amount of time. As a blogger, I strive to keep my posts about the reality of life and about the world I live in. Sometimes the reality of that world can be tough and sometimes toxic. We cannot deny we live in a place where there is lots of turmoil and that can color how we see things and express ourselves. Being positive in a negative place is very difficult but we have to figure out how to make that happen.

Today a blogging friend shared her concerns with how toxic Twitter can be and considering its the choice expression platform of people who can’t seem to censor themselves I can understand her concerns.

How do we return some light and levity to our conversations? I am trying to figure that out without sounding like a goody-two-shoes (which I am more times than not). All I can say is think twice, post once and make what you say matter. Be careful, the person you might hurt in a post might be yourself.

Six Word Story

Kindness costs nothing. Hate costs everything.
