Six Word Story

Emotional capital is spent too freely.

A Talk About Death

My priest did a great talk on death tonight at church. I am comforted in how we as the creation of God are both body and soul and they are equally important. In our worship as Episcopalian’s that everything we do in worship reveals that connection in creation. As a follower of Jesus, there is a comfort that God came to earth in the form of Jesus to reveal his love to the world.

7 Days – 7 Photos Of Everyday Life

My friend John Walker challenged me on Facebook to do this 7 days – 7 photos of everyday life. No explanation, all black and white. Any one of you is welcome to do the same. I believe I can rise to the occasion.

Quote Of The Day

The beginning of love is to let those we love be perfectly themselves, and not to twist them to fit our own image. Otherwise we love only the reflection of ourselves we find in them.

Giving Up College Football

I’ve kinda given up on college football and a few other sports. Not because my teams aren’t winning but because of the emotional investment I really don’t have to give. Somehow there are other things I’d rather celebrate or enjoy at the moment. Maybe it’s a seasonal thing.
