It’s been 5 days since I was on Facebook last. I don’t miss it all that much. At some point I will have to return but as for now I am good with WordPress.com, Twitter, Instagram and Tumblr.

Daily Prompt: Filthy
Filthy is kind of like a onomatopoeia, a word that sounds like itself. Being filthy is a byproduct of dirty work of various kinds. It also means doing something guilty that makes you feel filthy on the inside. I can remember times when being filthy meant I was helping others do some heavy lifting which was a good thing. Then there is being filthy rich where you are wealthy. Being filthy means getting dirty in a lot of ways. So I suppose being filthy can be a negative or positive thing depending on what you are doing.
One Week Ago Decisions Were Made
It was a week ago when America went to the polls. As you know by now who was elected and who lost. There is much to contemplate as we move forward as a nation. Many are protesting, many are shouting hallelujah…as for me I am highly concerned and highly fearful for many who are on the margins. Of course history is written in the future as it goes by. People are holding close to the things and traditions that offer them wisdom and comfort. We shall see what our world will be. Decisions have been made, now there is much work to be done.
Something About What Makes A Blogger, Numbers Don’t Tell The Whole Story #wordpressdotcom
Blogging is a noun and a verb. It is something you do and is something you are. Your number of followers do not determine your value as a blogger because I think the quality of your connections is what matters most. Some bloggers have a large following while others have a few friends and neighbors tagging along. Don’t be discouraged if you don’t have thousands of people visiting daily. A blog that comes from the heart will tell a great story and will bring people along organically. Don’t worry about your stats especially if you are an amateur. It’s good to celebrate milestones of people following but don’t get hung up on that. Every blog has a place in cyberspace.
No two bloggers are exactly alike. Their mission and purpose are determined by the writer and curator. I think individuality matters. Be yourself within your blog and create posts in your own way. Be sure your blog looks alive and tells the reader something about yourself.
As a person who runs a personal blog I am not out to be wildly popular but to share my message with all who will hear it and will connect with me. Being happy with what you have and be proud of your blog.
The one thing I always say is keep on blogging!
