I have concluded after being on WordPress for some time now that for a grown up (or a grown up at heart) its a much better place to be than Tumblr. I feel I can write here and be more respected with less judgement. If someone disagrees with you there is a level of civility and respect by-in-large. The bloggers here are committed to creating original works and are willing to share about themselves and their lives which is supportive and affirming. I also think the tools and technology offered here make your blog a feature rich site where you can bring all your work from other places here.

Don’t get me wrong I appreciate deeply my friends from Tumblr, they are great people. The atmosphere there can be a bit challenging sometimes. I just find myself in a much better space to create  and to be inspired by others who are doing the same here at WordPress.

Just because I am a person of faith doesn’t mean I am not dull or prudish. Well I am dull but for other reasons. Don’t be afraid of me because I am a fan of Jesus. I take the approach of my faith opening me up to different people and showing some love. Love your neighbor as yourself, all you need is love….well Jesus and the Beatles get that right. Just saying. I am not a religious nut well I am a nut but not because of my faith.

If you have started following me within the last couple of weeks I want to say welcome and I hope you enjoy your visits here. I saw this commercial this morning and was struck by how bold it is. The commercial shows traditional family arrangements then it shows the changing face of what family is about today. Family is so important to the fabric of America and some folks have to fight to have their own definition of family recognized. Tylenol is a product that takes the pain away and family can do the same. I am a supporter of family in however it presents itself. No one group should define what family is. When it comes down to it this is about love and it should always win.
