So we are watching National Treasure because Nick Cage is an American treasure. It also is light hearted and somewhat patriotic.

Tomato Rice Skillet Casserole
This is what we had for dinner tonight, it was yummy!
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 1 tbsp dried onion flakes
- 1 tsp minced garlic
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning blend*
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 1 cup quick rice
- 1 regular can tomato sauce
- 1/2 cup grated/shredded cheese*
Brown ground beef in skillet with lid (iron skillet works well but is not essential). While beef is browning, put onion flakes in small bowl and add about 1/4 cup hot water to rehydrate. When beef is done, stir in onions, garlic, and seasonings, then dry rice. Add tomato sauce and half the cheese, then sprinkle remaining cheese on top. Place lid on skillet and bake at 300 for 30 minutes.
*You may also use Southwest seasoning instead of Italian. Cheese can be any type you prefer (for the version pictured here, I stirred in 1/4 cup grated Parmesan and topped with 1/4 cup shredded Italian blend).
Flirting vs. Being Friendly
I am thinking about the difference between flirting and being friendly. Can you be friendly without it coming across as flirtatious. Perhaps its possible to get the wrong idea about ones social engagement with other people. At my age I don’t think its appropriate to flirt with someone much, much younger than myself. When I see older folks flirting with younger folks it comes across as creepy. I am married so out of respect to my wife I don’t flirt or something like that. What do you think?
To Import or not to Import
I am thinking about bringing all my Tumblr posts here to WordPress but I am not sure about it. It seems like having a new blog with a fresh start and the challenge of creating new content for a new audience is a good thing. Some of my posts from there has been copied here. Simple
Is something that says its simple really simple at all. Doesn’t it take a lot of thought into making something simple therefore making it complex. All the steps one takes is a process that can take a lot of time. Simplicity is something most people desire but is it worth it? I guess it depends on what you are doing and how to go about doing it. Simple can be complex at times.
