In school and pretty much through life I have never been popular. It’s something that hasn’t bothered me except I do like being included in things or thought of. Personally I don’t think I could handle being the “IT” person or the guy everyone raves about. Something about being popular is similar to narcissism or something like that. Popularity has its good points but it can also be a curse. Being well known isn’t all its cracked up to be if you see how some folks live with their own fame.
Were/are you popular in your circle of friends or community?
I hear some folks say as long as they have God/Creator they don’t need community or church or anything like that. I am here to say God/Creator has put people in your lives to go through the journey with. No one is an island and you need to be in a place where you can get support and care. Having a place where you can find spiritual roots can only help you grow. Yes you can encounter the divine in nature but the challenge is to encounter it on a city street or in traffic. Doing faith alone is a true challenge but doing with people who might be a little annoying can be a greater experience that will help you get through all seasons of ones life.
It’s a new month and a new set of opportunities. We are in the gateway month to the holidays ahead. Be sure to celebrate each moment as we go along. Grace and peace to everyone!
Are my posts too repetitive, somber, serious? Just wondering if I might be in a content rut? Do you find my blog a little boring at times? Feedback welcome and encouraged.
Witty is about being funny. It’s also about being smart. Having your wits about you. Telling a joke is one form of being witty, something pithy, something intelligent. I think being witty is a way to share the truth that goes down like something sweet and cool. It’s good to be witty in the world we live in.
