Tunes Tuesday – Bon Jovi – Livin’ On A Prayer

This song tells a story of a couple who are going through tough times. I think the central message of living on a prayer is what many experience as daily life. Sting’s early solo work inspired me and helped me shape my world view as a teenager. America might not be at odds with the Russians like we were back in the day but there is still a little animosity. Today there are new people we are afraid of.

Fly Me To The Danger Zone and Take My Breath Away this iconic movie of the 1980’s is 30 years old. Ouch, that makes me old too. Top Gun still holds up well and is packed full of stars. If you have never seen it, check it out. This is one of two movies I can deal with Tom Cruise in. Time has definitely flown by and I wonder what Maverick is doing now?

#FBF Flashback Friday – Steve Miller Band – Abracadabra

From back in 1982 this is the Steve Miller Band performing their hit song Abracadabra. This song and video is a little saucy.
