The journey of Advent begins with an Advent wreath to light the way to the coming of Christ. Today at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Chattanooga TN was the annual Advent wreath making session where parishioners made their own wreaths to carry home.

This is funny with me being an Episcopalian. For many families they have to be strategic about keeping the peace in the times we live in.
Today I was elected by my fellow parishioners at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church to serve on the Vestry class of 2019. The Vestry is the servant/leadership body of the local parish. I would like to thank all my fellow parishioners for their faith and confidence in me to serve/lead in our terrific church. I am excited to be elected/chosen and to serve with Cassandra Lynch, Kim Kilgore and Anne Kearney Spratt who were also elected today. Thanks to Fr. Quinn Parman for his continued leadership as our Priest/Rector.

Water is something that cleanses and renews. From water life begins anew. Baptism in water can bring people to a relationship with God. I find peace in water in a place like my parish. Water is holy.

Tonight three Episcopal Parishes St. Peter’s, St. Albans and St. Thaddaeus gathered to bless their animals as a part of St. Francis celebration.. Cats, dogs and even chickens were prayed over and blessed. Humans gathered for a cookout and some time of fellowship.
