Today, Sunday, September 8, is Star Trek Day – a celebration that coincides with the anniversary of the iconic sci-fi franchise’s television debut.

Star Trek is a cultural phenomenon. It’s about exploration, teamwork, compassion, intelligence, wisdom, understanding, friendship, humanity, love, and inclusion. Each show of the franchises explores those themes uniquely with characters that inspire you to learn and feel important things.

From the original series to Strange New Worlds, you can journey to places of your imagination and dreams. People like Kirk, Spock, Uhura, Picard, Riker, Archer, Pike, Deanna, Micheal, Saru, Janeway, Sisko and so many more have inspired millions to boldly go and to live long and prosper.

Boldly Go, It’s Star Trek Day

On September 8, 1966, Star Trek debuted for the first time on television with “The Man Trap,” the pilot episode of Star Trek: The Original Series.

This show has been a beacon of inclusion, logic, science and hope. I am proud to be a fan of this terrific TV show that has been so influential and inspirational for people all around the world.

May this show continue to encourage us to Live Long And Prosper.
