Transgender Awareness Week, observed from November 13 to November 19, is a one-week celebration leading up to the Transgender Day of Remembrance, which memorializes victims of transphobic violence. There are two people in my life who are in the process of transitioning. It’s more important for me to be an ally who can support them as they begin to live their authentic self.
International Transgender Day of Visibility is an annual event occurring on March 31 dedicated to celebrating transgender people and raising awareness of discrimination faced by transgender people worldwide, as well as a celebration of their contributions to society. To all Transgender people everywhere you have my support. Be proud of who you are and know your contributions to society are very important. Love and peace and safety to you all. You have a friend in me.
To all transgender people who are living their truth may you be visible today and every day. I support you who are making the transition and I give you my support and love. May the violence of lawmakers stop once and for all.
Transgender people are beautiful human beings. They are living their truth on their terms. I remember those lost to the violence of ignorance and fear. To the trans community be safe and keep your guard up.
Today, is about celebrating the achievements and resiliency of transgender individuals and communities. Transgender Day of Visibility recognizes the struggle, activism, and courage that have brought our country closer to full equality for transgender and gender non-binary people in the United States and around the world.
To the Trans friends in the blogging and other communities you have my support and I do see you for being great people. Now if we can get Republicans to stop making your lives hell.
The Transgender Day of Remembrance, also known as the International Transgender Day of Remembrance, has been observed annually on November 20 as a day to memorialize those who have been murdered as a result of transphobia. It is a day to draw attention to the continued violence endured by transgender people.
