A lot of people blog here on WordPress and Tumblr. however it can be difficult to keep up with both. When there are enough digital and social network distractions out there I am wondering how to navigate both platforms. I have loads of friends on Tumblr but I am enjoying some new contacts here. This is where some meaningful blogging is happening. Perhaps settling on one would be best. What would you do? How do you manage all your platforms without ignoring the people who matter in your “real life”….
I use tumblr to kill time. I don’t really have any friendships there, not nearly as much as the ones I’ve made here. It’s just my way of keeping up with what goes on around the world because, you know, it comes out first on tumblr most of the time. :p

I only use WP and it keeps me very busy. I could not imagine having 2 “babies” to maintain, feed, nurture! Lol.

I do all my social media at one point of the day. If there’s not enough time I prioritize the ones I feel are important

Since I work from home (on my computer mostly), I always have all my social media sites on one desktop and my work on the other. Plus for each social media site I have open on my computer, I also have all the apps on my phone.
Regarding WordPress and Tumblr, I love WordPress and just started on Tumblr. WordPress helped me get through extremely rough times. Honestly, social media does not infringe on my “real life.” Most of my friends ask how posts are going and keep up with what’s going on in my head via WordPress.
Sort of crazy that’s how they keep up with me.

I like wordpress for blogging via writing, but I tend not to use either tumblr or wordpress to communicate with people I know.
