I try hard to be a nice person. That’s just who I am. However I wonder if it’s off-putting? Not everyone knows how to react to kindness these days. It makes me feel like I am a nuisance or a bother because I am eager to please. Just makes me wonder.

Being nice is a rarity these days, so you have a gift! 🙂 . I doubt you’re being a nuisance or a bother. It’s nice to be nice, and it’s worth it.

That is because the world is not a nice place. Look around you? What do you see? People are not nice. They are rude. They are not used to people being nice!
However, there are still some nice people in the world. And I don’t think you should stop being nice because others are put off by it. We were born to STAND OUT. Not to fit in. Right? If they can’t handle it, then that is their problem. Not ours?
So don’t feel that way! Cheer up! 🙂

I try to be nice too, but you’re right nice is so rare now that it is often misunderstood as a c’mon or a trick of some kind. I’m not going to allow the negativity of the world stop me from being nice though.

I have noticed that people do shy away from those who are nice, they think it is “strange” or even “Weird” or at times they assume that since you are nice you are “hitting on them.” I think it is kind of sad, but the world is so used to hardship and being kicked around, that niceness is just an oddity. Supposedly the South is full of nice people (hahahaha) I have heard many people say that the personality and manners are completely different North Vs South. I believe that we can all either be nice or as* holes. But anyway, that is just my opinion 😀

Ironically southerners can be vicious and mean in a subtle way. I have found that northerners can be authentic which is nice. I also don’t want to come across as creepy, which I fear I do sometimes.

With the south vs north thing, I feel like both can be vicious or nice depending on the individual. Never understood why Northerners come down here expressing how nice everyone is lol, they just haven’t been to “that part” of town where no one is nice really, though a lot do the “back handed compliment” around here haha.
You probably do to people who are not used to such things. Where as others will be like, “wow what a nice guy.” Or around here we say “he’s good people. ” I guess it depends on the others perception, but don’t stop being nice because some people find it uncomfortable, they will warm up eventually. 🙂
