Farewell David Letterman, Thanks For The Memories

Tonight an era in late night television comes to an end as David Letterman has his last show as host of “The Late Show”. His storied career has been one of entertaining Americans for over 30 years. He came to CBS from NBC where he was host of “Late Night”. Stephen Colbert replaces David in the Fall. Thank you David Letterman, Paul Shaffer and the CBS Orchestra for your years of making our nights a little better.

  1. I am familiar with him through blurbs here and there but I don’t think I ever watched one of his shows completely through. He must have been good at what he did to hold on to the job for so long.

    1. I think he was ready, as hard as it is to believe. He was in a fight with two young, talented folks in Jimmy Fallon and Jimmy Kimmel so I suppose he felt like his day had come and gone.
