Trying too hard

At times in my life I’ve tried to be cool, fun, hip. My friends I’m really none of those. Some folks try too hard to be something they are not. People struggling for acceptance have issues with self esteem and that means they will do whatever to be relatable and one of the crowd.

How many of us have tried to be one of the crowd, at a cost. I have done much of what I’ve talked about above however I have learned that being yourself, whoever that might be is always the best.

  1. Agreed! 🙂 You can run, but you can’t hide from the real you. Might as well embrace it and others will do the same and if they don’t, they shouldn’t be part of your life anyway.

  2. That’s definitely how to be… be as yourself and you will know who your real friends and those people not worth to be with at all! I’d rather be alone being myself rather than “wearing a mask” to please my friends.
