Today is the day that the DeLorean time machine built by Dr. Emmett L. Brown was programmed to travel into the future in the movie “Back To The Future”.
We actually visit this date in the movie “Back To the Future Part II”. The 1980’s vision of the future is very different than the reality we face here in 2015. There are a few things that are close to what the movie predicted. Today is a celebration of this great movie trilogy and how it helped us imagine the future in a different way.
I’m embarrased to say that when the movies came out, i spent more time trying to decipher all the back and forths/pestering my brothers with what didn’t make sense to me that I didn’t fully enjoy them .Maybe I’ll rewatch them as an “adult”. 😄

Loved these sets of movies! I grew up in Covina, CA – which one of the malls we frequented was the Puente Hills mall for fun activities. Anyway, the mall parking lot scene (first movie), with the DeLorean and Doc gets shot was filmed there. I’m not sure if the other movies have that.
Also, the big hits from Huey Lewis and the News, we see them all the time (they frequent the OC and LA areas) and have seen them in concert a few times now. They always play Back in Time, which was they specifically wrote for the movie, references characters and such. And their other song was included Power of Love. https://youtu.be/TLQWGoysbgM
Such great memories!
