Jordan Smith slayed in the last season of “The Voice” in every performance he did. The popular reality competition show returns tonight to US Television on NBC. Smith’s rendition of Queen’s “Somebody To Love” was the performance in my mind that clinched it for him in season 9. This season always has a bit of mystery and excitement.
Why do you get a Dutch TV-show (that’s quite overrated in its home country, if I may say so), and we don’t get your peanut butter M&M’s?? That’s just not fair 😦

The trade off isn’t so good there. The Voice here hasn’t produced a serious pop star but on the country music side it’s done quite well. The voice has won awards and does well in the ratings. Funny how it works.

What did we get out of The Voice… Let’s see. The first winner had 1 hit song, then became a violence delinquent and I think he’s even in jail as we speak/write. None of the other winners have managed to become big names in my small country, not even the really good girl group that won last year. Again, 1 hit and that’s it (I think that’s secretly their slogan). But the view rates are sky high and the music sung in the show sells well. Do you also have the kids version, too?
