This campaign sign is posted in Polk County, TN which is near Chattanooga. Here is what I have to say about it.
Can someone tell me what century we live in again? There is so much to say about this. For one, America was not “white” to begin with. Two, this sign is a reminder of how selfish and ignorant people choose to be. Three, this man as well as others of his kind should repent for their sad, broken, pathetic hearts. Four, it’s a hard reminder that America will never be great as long as people like him are considered for leadership of this country. I should feel sorry for him but I don’t because he is on the wrong side of history. People like him are a relic of a horrible part of our history where people were lynched, spat upon, called names. The America he wants is one where “colored” people still sit in separate sections of restaurants, restrooms, buses and other public places. As long as racism, homophobia and discrimination are a part of the fabric of America there is little hope of greatness. Anyone who defends this man reveals their true character.
I said I would be positive this week but this is a story too important not to share.

I hear you my friend. Sadly, Australia is trying to follow America’s foot steps in all wrong directions possible. It’s frightening to see some of the ‘national leaders’ who reminds me of myself as a 10-year-old; you know that period in life when you truly believe that you know everything and you are always right? Let us pray. Call me an idealist or a dreamer, but we’ve got to be able to do better than this.

No offence, but what’s up with the “again?” I thought originally America wasn’t “white”.
Now, as for colours, seriously, people need to learn to understand thinking like this is stupid. Because what it all comes down to in the end is that we’re human. All of us.
Finally (I hate things like this – we have one of these idiots in our national politics and I swear if he ever gets chosen PM I’ll flee my country), isn’t this like taking 100 steps back? Don’t people learn from past mistakes? Why make them again? People, politicians especially, ought to focus on improving the future, focus on growth and companionship. Not try and bring history back. History is in the past.
Seriously, how come these people exist?

Indigenous people of America weren’t “white” and they had their lands stolen from them in the 17 and 1800’s. Racism is apparently alive and well here. Some people are mean and broken everywhere.

Thanks for addressing this. I’m grateful that people are showing their true colors — thanks in part to the bias behavior exhibited on national television by the billionaire buffoon. I’m saddened that my fellow Americans think this country would be great if it were all white.

Your blog should be about your views. You post about a variety of things. The last post won’t appeal to everyone, but neither will the posts about food. If you’re uncomfortable keeping that post up, you could remove it. I wasn’t offended; others who want to make America great again might be offended.

I wonder how a billboard like this was even allowed? Can one really put ANYTHING on a billboard in TN?

Why is this allowed to stay up. It’s terrible and disgusting that people still think like this. I keep hoping we will reach a place in our society where people are accepted and not judged, but I’m not sure now if this will ever happen.
