I have discovered today I can’t watch the news much anymore. Like most American’s we are burned out on politics and all the bad stuff happening. Now I can watch CBS This Morning Saturday but that’s about it. Perhaps most of us need a break from the stuff that we have seen that is violent, destructive and not up lifting. Maybe for me at least getting home at the end of the day when I have given much to the workplace I just need a break from it all. So the news is best in small doses. Perhaps there is a saturation point that I have reached. Amazing for a info junkie like me.

No wonder our house runs anything but the news channels twenty four hours a day!!!!

I stopped watching the news years ago, not much of media propaganda. Ironically enough my brother is an assignment editor at the news station back home, and he loathes it. The workload is depressing day in and day out.

I think the world is burned out on the news. Stopped watching the news and reading the newspapers a few years ago. My neighbours keep me up to date on what’s happening, and they only share the good stuff. Sports and the weather 😉

I studied Mass Media in college. It’s definitely a saturation issue – The news is everywhere, every minute, clamoring to report on or cover the latest story. It makes me sick.
