Today we went with our friends John and Connie to Murphy, North Carolina to see the fall colors in the trees and to explore. Well the fall colors weren’t happening due to the drought conditions we are having in the region. However we did explore a very charming town with a great assortment of things to see and do. It was a great day of getting out and going to a state I hadn’t been to in 17 years.

The views on the way were highly scenic on this beautiful Saturday. The Ocoee River is a great place to kayak and raft and to bike along. It was really good to commune with nature and to get some fresh air. The change of scenery did me good today.
